Nepotism is a very common thing in some parts of the world including Nigeria seeing as a number of people have been denied or given opportunities due to the people they know.

In the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, this is also an issue as many people have complained about not getting movie roles because they do not have money to bribe their way through. A Twitter user complained about this politics and handsome actor, Yul Edochie, also commented on the issue. According to him, he also suffered from the politics during his early days as he was dropped from many movie roles because of his father’s name.

Explaining further, Yul said his father’s name made many people envious.
